Exciting News: Introducing Ecotricity’s ecoSOLAR Plan!

January 10, 2025

We are thrilled to share some exciting updates in the solar energy industry. Our friends at Ecotricity have introduced the new ecoSOLAR plan, formerly known as the ecoBATTERY plan, offering enhanced benefits for all solar customers, whether they have PV-only systems or both PV and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).

Top-Tier Buyback Rates

One of the key highlights of the ecoSOLAR plan is its competitive buyback rates, with customers now enjoying 21c per kWh during peak times (7am–11am & 5pm–9pm) and 16c per kWh during off-peak times. These rates are considered among the best in New Zealand, aiming to reward solar users for their commitment to sustainable energy practices.

No Strings Attached

At Solartive, we understand the importance of freedom and flexibility when it comes to choosing your energy solutions. That’s why we are pleased to inform you that the ecoSOLAR plan, like all residential plans from Ecotricity, requires no long-term contracts. This ensures that customers have the autonomy to make decisions that align with their needs and values.

Seizing Opportunities

The updated buyback rates under the ecoSOLAR plan provide benefits to all solar customers, whether or not they have a battery system. This presents a fantastic opportunity for Solartive to offer BESS upgrades to clients who are interested in maximizing the advantages of their solar setups.

Join us at Solartive in embracing a cleaner and more sustainable future with the ecoSOLAR plan from Ecotricity.
